As a registered dietitian, I'm on a never-ending mission to find the best greens powders to recommend to my clients. That means finding a dietary supplement that not only has nutritional value and offers health benefits but is tasty and affordable, too.
My current go-to option is Live it Up Super Greens, but I'm always open to trying new powdered greens, so I was eager to test out Terra Kai Organic's Júce Sport Greens.
I sampled and researched this greens powder, taking a closer look at its ingredients, purported benefits, costs, and more. I also consulted Live it Up and Júce Super Greens reviews to gather additional insight from verified customers.
While I appreciate several aspects of this greens supplement, at the end of the day, I will continue to recommend Live it Up Super Greens to my clients.

5 Dietitian Reasons Live it Up Surpasses Júce Sport Greens
Júce Sport Greens has a lot going for it, but when compared to Live it Up Super Greens, it has its limitations. The following are just five of the many reasons why I believe Live it Up offers a superior daily greens powder.
1. Live it Up contains no fillers or additives
Live it Up Super Greens prides itself on containing no fillers or additives. While fillers are not inherently bad, they do bulk up the product and take away valuable space from more beneficial ingredients, such as greens and superfoods.
Meanwhile, Júce Sport Greens claims that its product doesn't contain fillers, but I did notice that the blend has rice hull concentrate, which is often used as a bulking agent, and guar gum, which can thicken products. These additions may help enhance the taste or texture of the powder, but I prefer when brands use whole foods to achieve the same thing in a more natural way.
2. Live it Up comes in two delicious flavors
Everyone has unique palates, so I appreciate brands that accommodate different preferences, like Live it Up. The Super Greens powder comes in two pleasant flavors: a refreshing and minty original flavor and a slightly sweet and tart wild berries flavor. This gives my clients more flexibility and variety when it comes to the kinds of foods and beverages that they combine with their greens powder. It also provides more options for picky eaters.
In comparison, Júce Sport Greens only comes in one flavor: mixed berry. This can be limiting depending on what you plan to mix the powder with. Furthermore, this flavor has been described as sweet, "vegetable," and "green," so if you're not a fan of those veggie-forward tastes, you may not enjoy this blend.
3. Live it Up offers more comprehensive nutrition
Live it Up Super Greens powder is packed with essential nutrients. The brand is transparent with its supplement facts, listing 22 vitamins and minerals, along with their daily recommended value (DV) percentages. For instance, the blend includes 78% DV of vitamin K, 109% DV of vitamin B12, 34% DV of iron, and 65% DV of manganese.
In contrast, Júce Sport Greens provides very little insight into the vitamins and minerals included in its formula. The supplement facts only list five nutrients: vitamin B12, iron, iodine, sodium, and zinc. I'd also like to note that it contains a whopping 912% DV of vitamin B12, which is more than nine times the recommended daily value. Now, does the formula include more nutrients than just those listed, or is this the extent of it? It's unclear, but either way, with so few nutrients listed, it raises questions about the complete nutritional benefits of this superfood powder.
4. Live it Up is designed for everyone (not just athletes)
Live it Up Super Greens is a supplement for anyone and everyone who wants to close gaps in their diets. It's a nutrient-dense blend packed with superfoods that can help increase your vegetable intake (3 cups per serving!), regardless of whether you're a star athlete or a newcomer to healthy eating.
Meanwhile, Júce Sport Greens markets its product as a sports supplement for athletes, designed to "fuel performance and accelerate recovery," which it claims to do through pea protein, greens, and functional mushrooms. Nevertheless, many of these ingredients are likely underdosed (only 3g of the greens blend and 25mg of mushrooms). While non-athletes can certainly consume these organic greens, they may find a more well-rounded formula for overall health and wellness elsewhere.
5. Live it Up offers superior gut support
Júce Sport Greens contains a prebiotic blend, probiotics, and 3 grams of dietary fiber, which can benefit digestive health. The supplement facts list several ingredients that support gut health, including the prebiotic Jerusalem artichoke, the digestive enzyme bromelain, and one strain of the probiotic Bacillus coagulans (12mg). However, the CFU quantity is unknown, making me uncertain how beneficial this single strain may be.
If we compare this to Live it Up, we see more comprehensive gut support. Super Greens includes 3 grams of dietary fiber with prebiotics like burdock root, three digestive enzymes, and five billion CFUs of dairy-free probiotics from four different strains, which align with the recommended daily dose of probiotics (1 to 10 billion CFUs).
Júce Sport Greens Overview
Inspired by the small organic farms he grew up around in the Pacific Northwest, Adrian Vicente founded Terra Kai Organics to provide healthy and affordable supplements for those living in urban areas.
While Júce Super Greens focuses on providing athletic greens for active individuals, the brand also features a variety of other products, including protein powders, superfood powders, organic gummies, and nutritional capsules.

It says it tests its products for "purity, potency, safety, and physical properties."
However, unlike Live it Up, Júce Sport Greens doesn't mention anything about using good manufacturing practices (GMP)-certified facilities that adhere to strict safety regulations and standards.

Júce Sport Greens vs. Live it Up Potential Health Benefits
When it comes to comparing Júce Sport Greens vs. Live it Up Super Greens, it's crucial to assess their purported health benefits.
Júce Sport Greens Purported Benefits
Júce Sports claims to offer several health benefits, so let's examine them more closely.
- Energy: Júce Sport Greens includes several ingredients that may support energy maintenance and physical performance, such as ashwagandha. However, because it's part of a proprietary blend, we don't know if there is a high enough dosage to make a noticeable difference. As for energy-supporting micronutrients, the formula includes vitamin B12, iron, and iodine.
- Immunity: The formula contains functional mushrooms rich in polysaccharides, which have anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting properties (but these are just a sprinkle at 25mg). It also contains various antioxidants, including slippery elm bark, green tea, and goji berry extract, that can further support immune function.
- Gut Health: This greens powder includes prebiotics, probiotics, and a digestive enzyme to help support digestive health. However, it's unclear how many probiotics are in the blend (CFU unknown) and whether they align with the recommended dosage.
Live it Up Purported Benefits
Now, let's look at some of Live it Up's health claims.
- Digestive Support: Live it Up Super Greens powder contains prebiotic fiber and 5 billion CFUs of four strains of probiotics, which can help balance the gut microbiome and promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. The formula also contains three digestive enzymes that can aid digestion and support nutrient absorption.
- Immune System Health: The blend contains antioxidant-rich ingredients, including organic barley grass, organic spirulina powder, chlorella, and spinach, all of which play a crucial role in supporting the immune system. The Super Greens formula is also a good source of immune-supporting vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins A and K, magnesium, and zinc.
- Energy Levels: Live it Up features ingredients that may help support cellular energy production, including B-complex vitamins, folate, iodine, and iron. The three digestive enzymes can also help maintain energy levels by breaking down food and converting it into energy.
Taste Comparison
It's essential for a daily greens powder to taste good and have a smooth texture, as this makes it easier for my clients to establish a habit of consuming it. When I compared these two greens powder side by side, I found that Live it Up Super Greens has a better texture and more enjoyable flavors.
Jūce Sport Greens Taste | Live it Up Taste | |
Flavors | Mixed berry (sweet and grassy) |
|
Sweetener | Rebaudioside A (stevia) | Monk fruit extract |
Texture | Clumpy and difficult to dissolve | Smooth and easily dissolvable |
Best paired with | Water, milk, plant-based milk, juice, smoothies, salad, or yogurt | Water, smoothies, or juice |
The good news is that many customers seem to enjoy the Júce Sport Greens flavor of mixed berries.
Still, there are some displeased comments about dissolvability and a distinct stevia and vegetal taste.
I’m particularly sensitive to that distinct stevia aftertaste, which is why I prefer alternative natural sweeteners like monk fruit in my greens powders. Other Live it Up customers also find the two flavor options (Original mint and Wild Berry) delicious, smooth, and easy to drink.
Cost Comparison
Price is another important consideration when choosing powdered greens. If we compare the price of Live it Up Super Greens and Júce Sport Greens, the latter is slightly cheaper. While it's always nice to save money, lower prices often make me wonder if they compromised on ingredient value.

Júce vs. Live it Up FAQs
Take a look at some FAQs below to learn more.
Are Júce Greens good for you?
Júce Sport Greens is a greens supplement containing 46 fruits and vegetables, as well as adaptogens, mushrooms, and probiotics. This greens powder includes nutritious ingredients that may help support athletic performance as well as aid digestion, maintain energy levels, and support immunity. That said, its supplement facts only list five vitamins and minerals, so it's unclear how much the formula could fill nutritional gaps and to your overall health.
If you're looking for a more comprehensive greens powder, I recommend Live it Up Super Greens, which is a nutrient-dense supplement packed with 22 vitamins and minerals, plus digestive enzymes and probiotics.
Is it good to drink your greens every day?
Yes, it's ok to drink most greens powders every day, as they may provide potential health benefits. However, if you'd like to see the best results, I encourage you to drink greens powder in combination with a healthy diet. When selecting the best greens powder, look for one that contains organic ingredients and vitamins and minerals derived from whole foods, and avoid those with added sugar and artificial flavors. Additionally, if you have dietary restrictions, be sure to find a supplement that aligns with your specific needs.
Are performance greens good for you?
Yes, performance greens can offer a variety of benefits for athletes. For example, their nutrients and antioxidant content can help you maintain energy and support muscle recovery. However, they're not meant to replace a healthy diet. It's best to consume these supplements along with whole fruits and veggies.
How much caffeine is in Júce Super Greens?
Although the blend does contain green tea, Júce claims that the formula is caffeine-free because its green tea extract ingredient is decaffeinated. There are a number of caffeine-free greens powders on the market, like Júce and Live it Up Super Greens, that can help support energy levels without the jittery feeling often associated with caffeine.
What are the side effects of taking greens?
Greens powders are generally considered safe to consume, but there are some side effects to be mindful of. For instance, some people may experience mild digestive issues, such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, or an upset stomach. Most of the time, these symptoms go away after a couple weeks as your body adjusts. If you continue experiencing negative side effects after consuming a supplement, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider for additional guidance.
