Morning Kick vs. Live it Up: 5 Reasons to Choose Super Greens

Celebrity supplements may get a lot of attention, but when put to the test, Live it Up continues to outperform.

Blog post image

I recently caught wind of Chuck Norris' super greens supplement, Roundhouse Provisions Morning Kick, and I knew I had to give it a try. After all, a lot of my clients ask me about celebrity-backed supplements, so I was eager to see how it stacks up against my go-to option, Live it Up Super Greens.

At first glance, it seemed like Morning Kick could be a good contender. However, upon closer inspection, I found that Live it Up Super Greens is still the superior option for a number of key reasons. Live it Up remains my number one choice because it’s an all-natural supplement with organic ingredients that helps fill gaps in your diet while supporting gut health, immune function, energy levels, and more.

How Live it Up Beats Morning Kick, According to a Dietitian

I took a lot into account when comparing these two greens powders, including ingredients, purported health benefits, cost, taste, and more. The following are just five of the many reasons why I continue to recommend Live it Up Super Greens to my clients.

1. Live it Up offers balanced nutrition

Live it Up provides transparent supplement facts, listing essential vitamins and minerals along with their daily recommended values (DV). For instance, the blend contains 78% DV of Vitamin K and 34% DV of iron. These vitamins and minerals could help boost your nutrient intake and fill nutritional gaps in your diet.

Unfortunately, Morning Kick does not list any vitamins or minerals, making it difficult to determine the overall nutritional value it provides. It's unclear whether the blend doesn't contain any vitamins and minerals or whether the brand simply failed to disclose them. Regardless, I can't say whether this supplement provides balanced nutrition.

2. Live it Up features robust gut support

I applaud Morning Kick for having several ingredients that support gut health. For instance, it features a fiber blend with prebiotics and a probiotics blend with 5B CFU, as well as 4 g of dietary fiber.

However, Live it Up goes further than Morning Kick in this category because it not only contains probiotics and 3 g of dietary fiber with sources of prebiotics but also includes three digestive enzymes, which play a significant role in supporting digestion. The addition of digestive enzymes helps break down food and aids nutrient absorption.

3. Live it Up prioritizes organic, non-GMO ingredients

Live it Up prides itself on using all-natural, organic vegetables that are free of herbicides. The blend also utilizes non-GMO ingredients sourced from around the world. The brand also conducts third-party tests to ensure that the final products are free from contaminants, such as pesticides.

In comparison, Morning Kick only contains three organic ingredients: oat grass, wheat grass, and Jerusalem artichoke inulin. Additionally, the brand does not mention using non-GMO products, so there's a chance that the ingredients may contain genetically modified organisms.

4. Live it Up is more affordable

It's easier to incorporate a supplement into your daily routine when you're not concerned about the cost. That's why I appreciate that Live it Up has wallet-friendly prices.

Live it Up's one-time purchase and subscription prices are both lower than those of Morning Kick. A 30-day supply of Live it Up costs $59.99 for a one-time purchase or $39.99 with a subscription. Meanwhile, a 30-day supply of Morning Kick costs $79.95 for a one-time purchase or $49.95 with a subscription.

5. Live it Up contains significantly more greens

One serving of Live it Up Super Greens includes an impressive 7.3 g (7300 mg) of superfoods. The blend is packed with nutrient-dense blue-green algae, seaweed, leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, cereal grasses, and more. When you consume a scoop of Live it Up, you can rest assured you're receiving an effective dose of greens that align with daily recommended values.

Now, if we look at Morning Kick, the formula contains only 0.5 grams of greens (500 mg), which makes up a measly 5.8% of the total blend. While the green blend includes nutrient-rich ingredients, like algae and cereal grasses, I'm skeptical about how much nutritional value such a low dose of greens can provide. This, paired with the fact that the brand doesn't disclose the vitamin and mineral content, raises questions about the overall nutritional effectiveness of the supplement.

Studies suggest that adaptogen ashwagandha may play a significant role in reducing stress and promoting relaxation. The recommended daily dose is 300 to 600 mg, but Morning Kick only contains 200 mg of the adaptogenic herb.

Morning Kick Quality and Safety

Roundhouse Provisions does prioritize safety and quality. It produces its supplements in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified facility and employs third-party testing. While I appreciate that the brand follows safety standards, I would like to see it commit to using more organic and non-GMO ingredients.

When it comes to green supplements with algae, it's essential to look for ones that include broken-cell wall or cracked chlorella so that your body can fully absorb its nutrients. Live it Up Super Greens includes cracked chlorella, which your body can break down, while Morning Kick includes whole chlorella, which your body cannot break down.

Live it Up Quality and Safety

Live it Up is committed to quality and safety, as it produces all of its supplements in GMP-certified facilities. Every supplement undergoes third-party testing, ensuring it's free of bacteria, yeast, metals, herbicides, mycotoxins, and other contaminants.

Morning Kick vs. Live it Up Purported Benefits

Both of these green supplements claim to provide health support in various ways. Therefore, I dug a little deeper to see if the blends live up to their claims.

Morning Kick Potential Health Benefits

Roundhouse Morning Kick has several purported benefits, so let's take a closer look at some of its health claims.

  • Gut Health Support: Morning Kick includes gut-healthy ingredients, including 5 billion CFU of probiotics from several strains and prebiotic fiber. However, the formula does not include digestive enzymes, which play a crucial role in gut support.
  • Energy Levels: It's challenging to determine the extent to which this blend contributes to energy maintenance, as it doesn't list any energy-supporting vitamins and minerals, such as B vitamins or magnesium. The blend does contain spirulina and chlorella, which are both rich in B vitamins and iron, nutrients that play an essential role in supporting energy metabolism and helping reduce fatigue.
  • Relax the Mind: Morning Kick contains ashwagandha, an adaptogen that may help reduce stress, encourage relaxation, and combat fatigue. That said, I’m unsure to what extent the blend can actually “relax the mind” because the ashwagandha is underdosed.
  • Skin and Joint Health: The formula includes collagen peptides, which have a lot of potential when it comes to supporting skin elasticity and joint health. Unfortunately, the blend only includes 2 g of collagen, which is under the recommended minimum dose of 2.5 to 10 g.

Live it Up Potential Health Benefits

Now, let's review some of Live it Up's health claims.

  • Digestive Support: The Live it Up Super Greens powder contains 5 billion CFU of dairy-free probiotics, three digestive enzymes, and dietary fiber with probiotic ingredients to help support gut health.
  • Immune System Health: The formula includes superfoods such as algae, leafy greens, and cruciferous vegetables, which are rich in antioxidants and immune-boosting properties, like vitamins A and D, magnesium, and zinc.
  • Energy Levels: Live it Up contains ingredients with energy-supporting nutrients like iron and vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12. It also features digestive enzymes, which aid in nutrient absorption and energy production by breaking down food and converting it into energy.

Taste Comparison

The taste of a supplement can determine whether my clients enjoy drinking it and incorporate it into their morning routines. While I sampled both supplements, I also looked into Live it Up and Morning Kick reviews to see what other people were saying about the flavors. Based on verified reviews and my own opinion, Live it Up has a more enjoyable flavor and smoother texture than Morning Kick.

When it comes to customer reviews on taste, Morning Kick has decidedly mixed reviews for its flavors, which were too sweet for me.

In my opinion, Super Greens is the best-tasting greens powder I’ve tried (and I have tasted many!) and comes in two flavors, Original and Wild Berry. Live it Up customer reviews agree:

“This is by far the best greens powder I've tried, and I've been through quite a few, including Athletic Greens. Supergreens taste great with a very mild minty flavor and no grassy chlorophyll aftertaste.”

“I look forward to drinking it every day because it tastes so good!”

Kickstart Your Nutrition with Live it Up

While Morning Kick may sound like a great supplement at first glance, after taking a closer look, it really lacks a lot of the key factors I look for in the best super greens powders. For instance, the Morning Kick blend contains only a small amount of mostly non-organic greens and lacks essential nutrients that support overall health.

That's why I'll continue recommending Live it Up Super Greens to all my clients. Not only is it affordable and delicious, but it includes 20+ organic ingredients packed with essential nutrients that align with daily recommended values, which may help fill nutritional gaps in your diet.

This non-GMO, vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free super greens powder also contains probiotics, digestive enzymes, dietary fiber, and antioxidant-rich greens that can help support immune function, digestion, energy levels, and more.

If you're looking for a comprehensive solution to help you achieve your health goals, you can't go wrong with Live it Up Super Greens.

FAQs About Morning Kick vs. Live it Up

Please review the answers to some FAQs below to learn more about these greens powders.

How much caffeine is in Morning Kick?

Morning Kick does not include any ingredients with caffeine to boost energy levels. This is good news for those who prefer caffeine-free supplements. However, if you'd like a greens powder with caffeine, you will find some brands that include sources of caffeine in their blends, such as green tea extract or black tea extract.

What is the best greens powder on the market today?

While there are a lot of great greens powders available, my favorite is Live it Up Super Greens. This comprehensive supplement is packed with vitamins and minerals that add nutritional value to your diet while supporting digestion, immunity, and energy levels. What's more, I believe it's one of the best-tasting green powder supplements on the market, so it's easy to add it to your favorite foods and beverages and make it a part of your daily regimen.

Is it ok to drink greens powder every day?

Yes, many greens powders are designed for daily consumption to help increase your vegetable intake. Drinking greens powder is a great way to help fill nutritional gaps, support your gut and immune system, and maintain energy levels.

I recommend starting your day with a scoop of Live it Up Super Greens in a glass of water, juice, or smoothie. When combined with a healthy diet, Live it Up can help you get all your greens for the day and support overall wellness.

Is Morning Kick FDA-approved?

No, Morning Kick is not FDA-approved because the FDA does not oversee any dietary supplements, including greens powder. This is why it's crucial to select a greens powder that is made in GMP-certified facilities and undergoes third-party testing, which helps ensure that the final product meets quality and safety standards.
