Many Americans struggle to meet their daily nutritional needs. A 2020 study found that while the proportion of adults with poor diet quality dropped from 48.8% to 36.7% (compared to ten years prior), the percentage of those with an ideal diet barely budged, rising from just 0.66% to 1.58%. Greens powders like Field of Greens offer a convenient way to fill these nutritional gaps toward an ideal diet with a blend of organic fruits, vegetables, and superfoods.

In this review, I’ll dive into the details of Field of Greens, from its ingredient profile and health benefits to its taste and pricing. My goal is to help you determine if this is the right greens supplement for you or if another product, like Live it Up Super Greens, makes a better fit.

Is Field of Greens Worth a Try?

Field of Greens is a vegan organic greens powder packed with excellent superfoods and comes in a variety of options. Though I could look past its use of stevia since BrickHouse offers a stevia-free blend, I would tell anyone looking for gut health support to look elsewhere. Instead, I’d recommend Live it Up Super Greens, which offers a potent blend of all-natural superfoods, organic ingredients, probiotics, and digestive enzymes for a much more affordable price.

What is Field of Greens?

Field of Greens is a flagship product from BrickHouse Nutrition, a health and wellness supplement company founded in 2016 by two brothers. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional sports nutrition products, BrickHouse Nutrition set out to create supplements designed to serve as a strong foundation for overall health, rather than focusing solely on pre-workout or protein supplementation.

With the mission to “build a better you, one brick at a time,” their greens BrickHouse Nutrition line includes a USDA-certified organic greens powder, Field of Greens. This product contains approximately 20 ingredients, featuring a blend of fruits, leafy greens, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and prebiotic fiber, all of which aim to support digestion, balanced energy levels, inflammation, skin health, immune function, and metabolism.

Field of Greens stands out from other greens powders in several ways. Unlike products that rely on extracts, this superfood powder uses real fruits and vegetables, providing naturally sourced nutrients like iron, potassium, magnesium, vitamin A, and vitamin C. The product is available in four flavors—Wildberry, Strawberry Lemonade, Lemon Lime, and Original—as well as tailored formulations such as “Raw” (stevia-free), “Charged” (with caffeine), and "Insight" (featuring super mushrooms).

While Field of Greens is gluten-free and vegan, it is processed in a facility that may handle allergens such as milk, eggs, soy, shellfish, peanuts, fish, wheat, and tree nuts. Those with allergies should exercise caution before using this product.

  • Gluten-free and vegan

Field of Greens Cons

  • Relatively expensive
  • Only available online
  • Does not include digestive enzymes or probiotics for gut health support
  • All products are produced in a facility that may also process products containing milk, eggs, soybeans, shellfish, peanuts, fish, wheat, and tree nuts

Field of Greens Purported Benefits

In my industry, I’m skeptical of any supplement that claims too many benefits, which could be too good to be true. That’s why I always pay special attention to the potential results of a product. In this section, let’s explore the health claims Field of Greens aims to deliver.

Field of Greens Purported Benefits

Benefit #1: Supports Digestion

Field of Greens contains several ingredients that support digestion and gut health. Organic green apple is rich in fiber, which promotes digestive health, and contains pectin, a compound that supports the growth of healthy gut bacteria. Organic green bananas are packed with potassium and fiber, both of which help alleviate digestive discomfort. Ginger aids digestion and can help alleviate nausea.

The blend also includes inulin, a soluble fiber that supports digestion and colon health, potentially promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria and aiding regularity. However, inulin can cause digestive upset for some individuals.

It's important to note that Field of Greens does not contain digestive enzymes or probiotics, which are often included in greens powders focused on gut health. For example, Live it Up Super Greens includes a blend of three digestive enzymes and 5 billion CFUs of probiotics per serving. So while I appreciate some of BrickHouse’s digestive-supporting fruits and veggies, Field of Greens has one of the weaker gut health formulas I’ve seen in greens powders.

Benefit #2: Regulates Energy and Fatigue

Field of Greens contains organic matcha powder, a natural source of caffeine that provides a gentle, sustained energy boost. Matcha contains more caffeine than regular green tea but less than coffee, and its combination with L-theanine promotes mental clarity while reducing the jitters often associated with coffee.

Additionally, spirulina and chlorella—two nutrient-dense algae—are rich in protein, B vitamins (especially B12), and iron. Both vitamin B12 and iron play an important role in energy production by supporting red blood cell formation and oxygen transport, helping with fatigue. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with higher iron needs, such as vegetarians.

Benefit #3: Aids Immunity and Inflammation

Field of Greens contains an antioxidant-rich red blend featuring cranberry, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, and beet root powders. These ingredients are naturally high in anthocyanins and other polyphenols, which help support natural defenses and immune health. Anthocyanins, found in berries, have been linked to reduced inflammation and enhanced immune function.

Additionally, Field of Greens provides vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that protects immune cells from damage, enhances white blood cell function, and promotes antibody production. Vitamin C also helps maintain healthy epithelial barriers—the body’s first line of defense against pathogens—allowing for a healthy immune response.

Field of Greens Ingredient Breakdown

Field of Greens is made up of four proprietary blends: organic greens, organic antioxidant powders, organic metabolic powders, and vitamins & minerals. In this section, we’ll take a closer look at the ingredients in each.

Field of Greens Ingredient Breakdown

Organic Greens Blend

The Organic Greens Blend delivers a concentrated source of essential nutrients from green vegetables, fruits, and algae. Key ingredients include:

  • Organic Spinach Powder: Rich in vitamins C and E, plus essential minerals like iron and magnesium. Also a source of antioxidants.
  • Organic Kale Powder: Provides vitamins C and K, antioxidants, and beta-carotene, along with manganese and potassium.
  • Organic Spirulina Powder: A nutrient-dense blue-green algae, high in copper, riboflavin, thiamin, and iron.
  • Organic Chlorella Powder: Composed of 50-60% complete protein, containing all nine essential amino acids. Also packed with iron, vitamin C, omega-3s, and fiber.
  • Organic Broccoli Powder: A cruciferous vegetable rich in vitamins A, B9, and K. Also an excellent source of vitamin C—just half a cup of cooked broccoli provides 51 mg (57% DV).

Organic Antioxidant Reds Blend

The Organic Antioxidant Reds Blend is made up of a range of organic red and purple fruits known for their richness in antioxidants and pigments. Key ingredients include:

  • Organic Beet Root Powder: A great source of essential vitamins and minerals, including folate, manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. Also contains bioactive compounds that may support gut health, metabolism, and the growth of probiotics.
  • Organic Blueberry Powder: Packed with nutrients, antioxidants, and compounds like the flavonol quercetin and anthocyanins, which may help inflammation and assist in maintaining immune resilience.
  • Organic Pomegranate Powder: Packed with antioxidants and polyphenolic compounds, including punicalagins, anthocyanins, and hydrolyzable tannins, which support overall health and promote a balanced immune response.
  • Inulin: Unlike the other ingredients in this blend, inulin is not an antioxidant-rich fruit but a prebiotic fiber that supports gut health by fostering beneficial bacteria in the digestive system. That said, inulin can also occasionally cause side effects such as nausea and bloating.

Organic Metabolic Blend

This blend aims to provide a range of potential health benefits related to metabolism, inflammation, and overall health. Ingredients include:

  • Organic Tumeric Powder: Rich in curcuminoids, particularly curcumin, the primary active compound in turmeric. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties, though very high doses are typically required for medicinal effects.
  • Organic Matcha Powder: A source of antioxidants, including polyphenols such as catechin and phytochemicals such as chlorophyll and quercetin. Also contains trace amounts of caffeine, which may help support balanced energy levels.
  • Organic Ginger Powder: Contains gingerol, a bioactive compound in ginger root that supports digestion and gut health.

Vitamin and Mineral Blend

Field of Greens includes a blend of essential vitamins and minerals that support overall health. Nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and selenium contribute to immune function, while B vitamins and magnesium play important roles in energy production and metabolism. This blend also provides antioxidants, bone-supporting nutrients, and minerals essential for enzyme and cellular function.

Additionally, this blend includes stevia, a natural sweetener.

Field of Greens Quality and Safety

Field of Greens offers limited information about its quality testing on the official website. While it’s known that BrickHouse Nutrition is based in Texas, it’s unclear whether their products undergo third-party testing or are manufactured in GMP-certified facilities.

However, we do know that Field of Greens is USDA-certified organic, meaning that at least 95% of its ingredients are organic. The product is also non-GMO and free from synthetic additives, including pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes.

Additionally, BrickHouse Nutrition notes that its products are processed in a facility that may handle common allergens such as milk, eggs, soy, shellfish, peanuts, fish, wheat, and tree nuts.

Field of Greens Cost Analysis

A 30-serving package of Field of Greens costs $80.96, or $2.69 per serving. With the subscription option, customers can save 10%, bringing the price down to $72.96, or $2.40 per serving. This places it on the more expensive end of the greens powder market, even with the subscription discount. Most greens powders range from $1 to $3 per serving. For comparison, Live it Up is priced at $39.99, or $1.33 per serving with a subscription.

BrickHouse Nutrition also offers “double packs” and “family packs,” allowing customers to purchase two or three tubs of any product for $5 or $10 off, respectively.

Additionally, the company provides free shipping on all U.S. orders (excluding U.S. territories) and offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Field of Greens Taste Review

Field of Greens offers four flavors:

  1. Original
  2. Wildberry
  3. Strawberry Lemonade
  4. Lemon Lime

The formula has a higher fruit content than most greens powders, contributing to a sweeter, fruitier flavor. Additionally, the inclusion of stevia makes it even sweeter.

Since taste and texture are subjective, we've compiled some customer feedback to provide an objective look at Field of Greens’ flavor profile. While it's not available on Amazon, which limited our access to impartial reviews, here’s what a few users have shared about their experience.

Taste

The sweeter, less earthy flavor of Field of Greens appealed to some users. One customer wrote, “[it] doesn’t taste totally awful…it almost has an orange flavor to it, like tang,” while another noted, “I tried the original. It’s not bad…slightly sweet and more fruity (kind of like green apple) than vegetable-y; for an unflavored greens powder, I’m impressed.”

However, others were less enthusiastic about the blend's noticeable sweetness. One user wrote, “The taste almost comes off as a sweet green tea. It’s not horrible to drink, but it isn’t utterly fabulous, either."

Another user shared, "The product had an artificial sweetener aftertaste. It has stevia in it."

Solubility

Customer feedback on solubility was also mixed. One reviewer shared, “[It] mixes well with just a straw! It does settle at the bottom if you don’t drink it all at once,” while another noted, “There were a few clumps in my drinks but they were pretty easy to dissolve with the back of my spoon.”

Greens powders can struggle to find the right balance between being too earthy or overly sweet, but Live it Up manages this with a naturally sweetened blend using monk fruit. Our two flavors—Original, offering a subtle sweetness with a hint of peppermint, and Wildberry, which delivers a tart, fruity taste—provide an alternative for those who prefer a different flavor experience.

Why I Recommend Live it Up Super Greens

Live it Up Supergreens

USDA-certified organic and packed with nutrient-dense ingredients, Field of Greens is a premium greens powder with a loyal following. However, Live it Up Super Greens offers the same benefits, and more, at a significantly lower price.

First, Field of Greens lacks digestive enzymes and probiotics, two key components in greens powders that support gut health and digestion. Without these, users may not experience the same level of digestive benefits found in other high-quality greens powders. Live it Up Super Greens, in contrast, includes a robust digestive enzyme blend and 5 billion CFUs of probiotics per serving to aid digestion and nutrient absorption.

Another major concern about Field of Greens is allergen exposure. It is produced in a facility that handles common allergens like peanuts, wheat, eggs, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, and milk. While labeled gluten-free and vegan, those with dietary restrictions may feel uneasy about potential cross-contamination. Live it Up Super Greens is allergen-friendly, making it a safer choice for individuals with almost any dietary restriction.

Finally, Field of Greens is among the most expensive greens powders on the market, costing $2.40 per serving with a subscription. Live it Up Super Greens delivers many of the same benefits and more at nearly half the price—just $1.33 per serving.

If you are looking for a nutrient-packed greens powder that supports digestion, immune health, and energy levels at a more affordable price point, Live it Up Super Greens is for you.

FAQs

Still have questions? Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions about Field of Greens.

What does Field of Greens do for your body?

Field of Greens is designed to support digestion, balanced energy, inflammation, skin health, immune function, and metabolism. Of course, individual experiences may vary when using this product. After reviewing the formula in depth, I’m impressed by this blend’s selection of organic superfoods but skeptical about its ability to support gut health due to the lack of probiotics and digestive enzymes.

Is Field of Greens better than AG1?

Both Field of Greens and AG1 are formulated to support similar health benefits, but there are some differences. While AG1 includes many organic ingredients, Field of Greens is USDA-certified organic. AG1 contains additional ingredients, such as digestive enzymes, a robust number of probiotics, and adaptogens, at a higher price point. Field of Greens, however, offers a more concentrated number of ingredients at a slightly lower price.

By contrast, Live it Up Super Greens is more affordable than both AG1 and Field of Greens at just $1.33 per serving. It contains a concentrated list of all-natural ingredients, organic vegetables, and probiotics.

When should I drink Field of Greens?

You can drink Field of Greens at any time of day, but many people prefer taking it in the morning to start their day with a nutrient boost. It can also be consumed before or after workouts for added energy and recovery support.

How long does a jar of Field of Greens last?

According to BrickHouse Nutrition, an unopened jar of Field of Greens can last up to 3 years. Once opened, it typically lasts between 2-3 months, depending on how it's stored. Each tub contains 30 servings.

What are the side effects of Field of Greens?

Some individuals may experience mild digestive discomfort, bloating, or gas when first introducing Field of Greens to their diet. Additionally, some people may experience rare contraindications with prescription medication. If you have any allergies to the ingredients in Field of Greens or substances handled at the facility (such as gluten, dairy, nuts, or soy), consult with a healthcare professional before use.
